How the ILS helped: If it wasn’t for ILS I may have finished school without having even heard of F.A. Hayek. Going to ILS exposed me to and gave me a foundation in important (and fun) ideas that I still think about on a daily basis. In fact my first Liberty Summer Seminar was a landmark moment that helped to convince me to change directions in my life and pursue a career in spreading ideas and researching policy. More than just the typical educational experience, it was a great opportunity to meet the fascinating people that speak at and attend ILS events.
