The ILS will consider grant applications of up to $15,000 in support of guest lectures, reading groups, and other educational activities taking place on a university campus in Canada. Most of the grants awarded are for under $5,000. Only applications made by faculty members at accredited post-secondary institutions in Canada will be considered.

Successful applications are most likely to be grounded in the arts, humanities, social sciences, business, or law and will encourage students to consider issues relating to economic freedom, political freedom, human rights issues, the role of entrepreneurship in a liberal democratic society, and/or the classical liberal tradition.

Applications must be made using the form below and may be submitted at any time. Applications will be considered as they are received. Projects should not exceed one year, but support may be renewed. Approved grants will be made payable to an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada. To ensure the funds provided are used directly in support of educational initiatives the recipient organization is not permitted to designate any portion of the grant for administrative expenses or overhead costs.
