What we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • A motivated individual who is able to work independently.
  • A passion for discussing ideas with students and faculty.
  • A university degree in philosophy, political science, or economics is preferred. Candidates without a degree in one of these fields will be expected to demonstrate familiarity with core ideas in one or more of these areas.
  • An understanding of classical liberal ideas is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in French will be an asset but is not required.

What the job will include:

  • Working with our existing campus partners (e.g. student associations, university faculty and departments) to deliver high-quality public lectures by leading scholars at universities across Canada. This will require moderate travel.
  • Identifying and approaching new potential partners for campus lectures.
  • Assisting with other ILS events and programs as required.
  • Assisting with administrative and fundraising tasks as required.

Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter by email to Matt Bufton (matt@liberalstudies.ca).
